A Bit About Me...

I was born in 1966 in Hamilton, Ontario. My childhood was spent there, in Helensburgh, Scotland, and, finally, in Waterloo Region, Ontario.  Since the age of 4, I have loved to travel, visiting  Alberta, Northern Ireland & England many times, with forays into France and the U.S.A.

In 2008 a dream came true when I travelled to England for the Badminton Horse Trials as a photo-journalist for Canadian Horse Journal and Equine Lifestyle magazines. Later in 2008, I will be visiting Germany, Switzerland, Austria and Italy as the photographer and webmaster for the Waterloo Wolves AAA Midget Hockey Team.

In 2005 I married Greg Henning, ex-Army reservist, AAA hockey trainer and new (but enthusiastic) fan of show jumping.  Greg often accompanies me to competitions as my photographic assistant and statistician. Greg and I, along with our horses Holly, Beau, and Classy, dog Brandi and cats Daisy and Harley live on a small farm near Baden, Ontario.

I has been involved with horses for over 25 years.  In my teens and early 20s, I did a little showing, some cross country, hunted, worked for a bloodstock agency, and enjoyed hours of hacking.  However, capturing that perfect equestrian moment on film (and now, digitally) was more rewarding to me than riding in the ring myself.

In the late 1990s, after many years of photographing friends' horses and ponies, I registered my business, Time Flies Equine Photography.   I am available for portrait sessions at farms and for horse shows (check out the Price List for details).  While my specialty is show jumping, I enjoy all disciplines.
